Just so you know that I'm not a fraud and didn't just become a workout warrior last week, let me tell you about my life to this point as it relates to physical activity. As you may have gathered, I'm a sports guy. I played organized sports (baseball, basketball, football, golf) my entire educational career until college began. My college options were between engineering and Div III basketball or architectural design at Kent State. I chose the latter and thus my sports career came to an end. I still golf as much as I can and hit the court whenever I get a chance but it isn't as frequently as I would like.
I started lifting weights in high school and have been on a regular basis(at the very least once or twice a week) ever since. I love going to the gym. There is hardly a better feeling than completing a good workout. Growing up I was always a skinny kid despite eating and drinking the most awful substances a human can consume on a regular basis. I was so active that my metabolism could destroy anything in it's path without missing a beat. College came, the workouts became shorter and less intensive due to the work load and in a year I went from a 165 lb. high school senior to a 195 lb. college freshman. Looking back at old pictures, that gained weight was long overdue. I have never been fat by any means and my heaviest weight I have ever recorded was 205. Today I am 6'-0" and hover between 188-192 lbs. I started a new workout and eating lifestyle* in 2014 and it's going swimmingly. I cannot wait to share it with you.
I will regularly post my daily workouts with links to the details on the site. I switch up muscle group pairings, repetitions, weight, etc. on a regular basis to keep my muscles on alert. As soon as I feel no pain at all the day after a workout, I usually change things up. Sometime my workouts are slower and heavy and sometimes I go uptempo and want to vomit when I'm done. I hate running on a treadmill or running altogether for that matter(which I need to work on changing, I know) so I get my cardio in with high intensity lifting.
Keep coming back..Talk to you soon!
